It has been one week since I saw her. One week since she brought me some thing with her little tiny hands. I know that many must be wondering how I am doing. Today I am okay. Really. I know that it sound crazy but I have had a busy week getting things done.
Thank goodness I came home early. Yesterday, I was able to get fingerprinted for the FBI clearance and mailed it out in the hopes that the clearances will be back very soon.
The one thing that I have had the biggest trouble with was the financail statement to be signed by a CPA (This is a requirement per my region). I took a deep breath a 5x7 picture of my little Banana and walked into a local CPA office. I showed her the forms and told her my story. Without hesitation I got a "Sure I can do that just drop it all off to me."
I hope to have all the paper work completed, notarized, apostilled and in Russia by April 9th. I think it can be done.
So I am hanging in there, hoping and praying for a fast court date.

It can be done...it can be done...it can be done. (to the tune of The Little Engine That Could) I bet you are so excited to get back to little Banana!
Good job Joy. Nothing like a sweet little baby face to help get paperwork done. Sounds like it is all coming together. You will be back in no time. Does your region waive the 10 days? I wonder if any of them do anymore.
Nice work! Nothing like using our sad stories to get things accomplished. Mike and I worked our story for everything we could get, from the Mayor's office, to Ford Credit, to the Ohio Secretary of State's office when they "misplaced" our letter to be apostilled. What craziness we went through. I hope everything gets done soon.

You can do it!! Way to use the picture to get it done, we did that too. People were more than willing to help when they knew what it was for most of the time. Sending you wishes for a speedy court date. I will warn you, this is the hardest part of the wait. Just keep busy and you will make it through.
Hugs@!
You can do it! I have MUCH faith in you!! Paperwork is the most frustrating part (aside from waiting that is!)
Praying for God to watch over her and for you to have a court date very soon.
Can't wait until she is back in your loving arms. The time will fly as you prepare for her forever life with you and Gerard. I enjoy your updates. Thank you for inviting us in!
We did the same thing to or County when we had to get an official appraisal of our home. . .loved the looks on everyones faces when I told our story! It will work for you every time. Keep a picture of her with you at all times. . . it will help with this part of yor wait. Praying for a court date for you!
It helps so much to share with folks why you are asking them for a favor. Accountant's can be so precise and particular. I am so happy for you that you found a CPA to help. Did you go to the local sheriff office for FBI print stuff or State Police?
We are praying that you time for court comes quickly...I hope maybe we'll fly out the same time! Fingers are crossed!
It can be done! Remember I had to call my senator to get my fbi clearances back and had to drive 2 hours away to be apostilled. I got them done 1 day before we left for russia!
Joy: I know you'll get the p/w done! I was "blessed" to have hurt my shoulder which gave me down-time from work ~ so instead, getting the p/w done was my full-time job for 3 weeks. We got it out 4 weeks after getting home.
I pray your wait is short. We're at the 6th month mark and it is killing us. But we see light at the end of this long tunnel and we know you'll be back for Little Banana before you know it.
Good luck!
Joy,
What a blessing to find a CPA to sign your financial statement for you. I agree with the others that carrying your daughter's picture with you will help during this hurry up (paperwork) and wait process. Hope you have a good week this week.I am praying for a quick court date!! Call me anytime if you want to chat!
Hi Joy,
I am hoping and praying too that you will get a very fast court date!! I can't wait until you finally get to hold her again.
Take care...Teresa
