I know I packed them some where!

Where are those Ruby Red Slippers? I know I must have packed them. Well it is about 11:00 am here in Moscow. I offically slept 3 hours. That should be enough. I do however feel a little bit like Dorothy. I am trying my best to rest and get some thing to drink. That is my next project.

I know there are so many who have adopted before me and who have had so much great advice. There are so many things that I would do differently. Not that I have regrets not yet anyways but things I would have changed to make my experience better. Jolynn and Lori do not worry I will fill you all in with all my new found wisdom as that your trips are very smooth.

Now back to looking for those Ruby Red slippers.

Hi Miss Joy -- been thinking about you this week! Soooo soo happy to hear that your trip and the banana are everything that you had wished.

One thing to look into if you have a laptop with you. check out skype.com - it's an internet calling service. It's FREE to call computer to computer (need speakers and a microphone) OR you can pay $2.95/month to call UNLIMITED from your puter to landlines. A MUST have. For $3 I have called my mom, friends etc... and you can talk as long as you want. Not $3 per call. $3 a MONTH. Sounds like a landline. If your puter doesn't have speakers/microphone - you can get one when you get home. VERY handy!!

Joy,
You need to get Skype. . .it's free and you can video call through your computer so you'll be able to see your families faces when you are there next time. You'll love it! I missed my coffee (I'm an addict!) while there until we found a coffee internet house in Kras. Enjoy yo time there!

Add us to the list of folks who like Skype, it is good to have. If you get set-up you can video call me from New Jersey, hehe.

Try clicking your tenny shoes five times for a happy vision of home. Those red slippers are somewhere and they will show up right when you settle in for a few days. Can you get an earlier flight home? I want you to get some more sleep, three hours is not enough to go on (at least not for me). Do they have somewhere to go for tea? Maybe a bakery, yummy!

Hi Joy---
My prayers for you for rest and a quick trip home. I know that this has got to be difficult, and that "resting" is near nigh impossible. Hang in there sweetie and know that we all care about you and wish you safely home soon.

Sending my BEST wishes your way and thinking about you!
I'm sooooo happy your time has finally come - you're 1/2 way there now!!
You'll have time to sleep on the plane on the return flight - that's what we did.

You might want to check out some of the other apartment options for your next trip. We had free (unlimited) long distance phone calls to the US at our apartment on both trips.

Glad you had a nice visit to Russia and I pray for safe travels home. We all wish we would have done things differently or realize that there are things that could have gone more smoothly. Sleep deprivation and stress make it hard to think of everything while in a foreign country. Just glad your visit with the banana went so well. You will cherish having such a wonderful first visit!

Safe travels!
