Precious!! I've been keeping up on your blog via my Google Reader...so I haven't come in to comment a lot. Sorry! I wanted to make you a quick offer for your announcements. If you are interested, I'll be happy to design some for you. If you already have something picked out, I can just edit one of your photos to make the colors pop, etc. Just let me know! If you're interested, email me at mbridges98 {at} gmail {dot} com.
Hi Joy: It is not often that I comment to you, but here is a small suggestion -- getting Anna to sleep. Give her a warm bath around 6:30 or 7:00p.m. each night, you might be bathing her in the morning, but when I couldn't get Jennica to sleep, that was the trick. Bathing at night, bubbles and a good book right after, and out she went!! Hope it helps. Love you and can't wait to meet Anna. Love your Oldest Sister, Jessie.
P.S. To the Person that was Anonymous, I have one thing to say to you, till you walk in any one of our shoes, lived any one day in our lives, you have NO business, MAKING ANY COMMENTS TO MY SISTER, GERARD OR TO ANNA. IF YOU HAVE SO MUCH TO SAY, SHOW YOURSELF, DON'T BE A COWARD!!! SIGN YOUR NAME!!!!
Hi Joy~ I just commented on the sleep issue post, but realized a minute ago that there was a newer post. I should have simply commented here! Sorry about that! Your daughter is adorable...picking her nose or not!!! Jody
As always Joy, my thoughts are with you as you navigate this new and very exciting time in your life. It's a shame that time must be taken away from the true meaning of your blog...love, laughter, support...in order to address the negativity of others. Perhaps "anonymous" will look toward volunteering his/her time where it truly will have a positive difference on others. I am a big believer that we have a ressponsibility, each day, to improve or bring happiness to others lives. How lucky are you that you get to do this through Anna!
Love the nose picking pics! About the anon comment you posted about...perfect response. Even I wouldn't say something so intrusive. Although your blog is public, it's also very personal and should be treated as such. It should be a positive , something your family (especially Anna) can look back on and enjoy. The sleeping thing..I agree you should never let them "cry it out" I could never stand to let them cry (until they're in their 20's lol!) I always slept with them, it was hard with my nieces, since they weren't used to the affection so it worked better to just send them to bed most nights. You have to catch that perfect moment when they are sleepy but not over tired yet. Structure and routine with love and affection. (worked for me! lol! the first child is the practice run, trial and error). Relax and enjoy her.
Starting a family has always been a priority for me. Now I am the Mother of a delightful little girl who was born in Russia. The time I spend with her is priceless.
