That's the breaks or what mean to say is...

It's broken!!! I have to see an orthopedic doctor on Monday. Right now I have an immobilizer on and no use of my right arm at all. Now I have a little special request prayer. Please pray I do not need surgery to repair this.

I know there will be a bright side to this I am not quite sure what it is yet but I am sure that I will be able to find one. So now Gerard has me propped up on the sofa with a cold diet soda, my phone on the table next to me and my computer on my lap. He has the TV clickers and thinks it is funny because I can not fight back.

Guess what we are watching?? Arm wrestling! I told him "Not funny!" At least now I am laughing. Thank you all for your prayers.

Oh Joy, if you don't mind, I would like to share your story with the prayer warriers in my ladies bible study. We will be praying for you like crazy. Please don't let this dampen your spirits.

Do you have anyone who can travel with you? (I know you said Gerald wants to save his time off for when you are back home.) When my SIL couldn't travel with us at the last minute, I dreaded the thought of having to ask someone else if they would even consider traveling to Russia with us to help with our kids. I was so suprized by how many offers we got.

The lady who God placed in our path (someone I had known a long time, but never really *knew* very well) was truly amazing and a tremendous help. Just something to consider.

Hang on to your sense of humor and you'll be fine!

You amaze me...your sense of humor in times of such craziness.

Everything happens for a reason and for some reason, you needed this "down time" prior to getting your little one.

Hang tight. I'm thinking of you and keeping you and Gerard in our prayers!

Blessings,
Laura

Enjoy your rest time. . .you be dreaming of having some of that--minus the pain, of course, in just a short time!! : ) Seriously, hang in there. God will see you through this just as He has seen you through everything to this point. You're in my prayers. . .and tell Gerard no more arm wrestling shows!! Too funny.

Oh no! I'm so sorry your arm is broken. But, you will get some much needed rest. Enjoy it now because it will certainly be gone in just a little while. Perhaps this is what you needed- some down time before your big Russian adventure!

I think Laura is right. You needed some down time. You are so busy and trying to please everyone (long phone calls) If I could I would be over there cooking you three squares and doing your job. Praying that it will heal quickly.

This will certainly change the tone of your wait. Now, you'll be hoping for a little time at it will fly! I'm with Kim - it would be so great if you could find someone to travel with you, if nothing else just to take care of luggage, etc. It's a lot on your own with or without a broken arm!!

Joy,
I am so sorry to hear this. That is my biggest fear of getting some injury and not being able to work and interfering with the adoption. I feel for you deeply. I will pray hard that you do not need surgery. I hope you get a court date soon. It has been long enough. I am thinking of you everyday. Hang in there!!! Lori

Oh my goodness...of all times to break your arm! Oh, I am so sorry. I will ABSOLUTELY be praying for you. I loved that they just need one more document for your court docs...maybe someone will be able to travel with you? Will be praying, praying praying...bless your heart!!!!

Hugs, Kristine

Hmmm, I wish I knew a good thing to say right now. All I can come up with is maybe if you don't get to travel soon, it will be good so your arm can have a longer time to heal.

And one way or another, it will all work out.

I will keep you in my prayers.
